Of course, setting the different mosaics every day also stimulates the imagination. The Moroccan maalems (master craftsmen) always enjoy developing new ornaments. The modern mosaics even have a very special charm: they combine today's oriental culture with traditions that have existed for centuries. As in the past, Zellije tiles are struck into the matching mosaic pieces with a hammer blade, as in the past the craftsman places the motif and fills it with filling material.

This mosaic table combines two star shapes: If you look closely, you can see the development of the eight-point star (with pointed points) from the eight-place star (with rectangular points). Blue tesserae (mosaic pieces) shaped like ribbons frame each star. The white tile pieces act like a background. But far from it: they are also part of this completely glazed Zellige mosaic . Thanks to its cool appearance, this bistro table fits perfectly into a modern environment. With an iron chair he gets the desired authenticity.
